Here are the little ones

It's been a while since I've taken any pics of the kids. So the other day I decided I needed to get off my toosh and take some! So here they are! And they are getting soo big. I don't understand where the time goes? Anyone?!

He is one of my kids!! Hee hee! I love him dearly! My wonderful and handsome man.

It's so fun to play with them and I LOVE it when they get that big belly laugh. It brings a smile to my face just thinking about it!

He's such a cutie! And I can't get over how big he is. Sometimes the things that come out of his mouth amaze me!

Who could resist those cheeks! It's hard to believe that she's been here for 7 months!

Andrew really enjoyed putting the ornaments on the tree this year. He has since replaced them several times. They keep migrating from one side to the other. Isn't this picture so sweet though?!

No he is not trying to choke her. I was trying to get a picture of her and she wouldn't stop looking at the T.V. Andrew was telling her to look at the camera! I just had to laugh. Fun little side note is that the dress that she is wearing was worn by me when I was younger. My wonderful mother made it for me!

Someone thinks I'm fabulous!!! Jenny over at Jenerbug gave me this award a long time ago, but there has been so much going on that I haven't made the time to sit down and blog about it. I'm so excited. It's my first award ever. And I like to think that in some ways I AM fabulous!! As are all of us women!! So as part of this I need to list 5 addictions that I have. So here goes.

1. I'm totally and utterly addicted to chocolate. Just about anything chocolate I can get my hands on. But of course I have my favorites. Like Godiva!!!Who doesn't love a good piece of chocolate from Godiva?!

2. I love cookbooks. I like to read them and look at all the pictures of the yummy food and dream about making them. I love to cook some of the things in them as well, but I do have a few that I just have to look at pictures!

3. I have become a little addicted to blogging. I'm trying not to spend all my time on the computer, but I just love to look at all the neat things on other people's blogs. And I'm way addicted to all the hair blogs out there. That is where I've gotten a lot of ideas for Emma's hair.

4. Just recently I figured out how to fry my own chicken. And since that day I've made it several times. I LOVE it! (Yes it's another food addiction!) It's so very yummy!

5.Shopping! I don't do it much, but I love to bargain shop. Okay so I have to brag on myself! I went to Belk's on Saturday and got several things for cheap! I got a pair of boots for me, 3 shirts and a pull over for Andrew, a shirt and dress for Emma, a remote control car for Andrew, and a pair of Dockers for James. And all it cost me was 98 dollars. Apparently I saved $168 dollars. Do I rock or what?!

So now that I've listed my 5 addictions I go on to pass the award to 5 FABULOUS Ladies!!

1. Heather is my best friend and we've known each other since we were 3. I love her dearly and think she is absolutely fabulous!

2.Phaedra is a fun girl that I met when James and I got married. And I totally look up to her. She's a great mom and I hope I can be like here when I grow up!!

3. Aubrey is another wonderful mom that I look up to. She has given me a lot of fun ideas to do with my kids when they get a little older. She is the epidomy of fabulous!

4. Tori is my friend that introduced me to my husband. So totally owe her a debt of gratitude! She is one of the most awesomest people I know. And yes she is totaly Fabulous with a capital F!

5. Cathy is my sister in law, but more like my sister! I believe that we were meant to be together and that my mom probably couldn't have handled both of us so Heavenly Father split us up. She's expecting her first baby and I'm so super excited it's like I'm living through her!

As with any award, there are rules.

The rules of this award are:

1. You have to pass it on to 5 other fabulous blogs in a post.

2. You have to list 5 of your fabulous addictions in the post.

3. You must copy and paste the rules and the instructions below in the post.

Instructions:On your post of receiving this award, make sure you include the person that gave you the award and link it back to them. When you post your five winners, make sure you link them as well. Also, don't forget to let your winners know they won an award from you by emailing them or leaving a comment on their blog.

A couple of things...or maybe a lot!!

So there are a few things that I've been wanting to post but have been trying to not be on the computer so much. But here are some of the things that have been going on. As most of you know I have been playing with different styles on Emma's hair. So here are a few of the ones I've done. I can't take the credit though because all of them have come off of someone's blog. Thanks to those people!

This was a fun knot one that I did in ponies.

This is the other side.

I got the bug and decided to try rolling her hair in curlers. We sat in the bathroom with her playing in the sink. James walked by and just smiled at us sitting there doing her hair. I was surprised she let me do it.

This is what it looked like the next morning right after taking them out.

And this is what it looked like later on in the afternoon. By the next morning her hair was all straight with a little curl at the ends. She was blessed or cursed (which ever way you want to look at it) with my straight hair that won't hold curl or anything very long.

And this was done today. I'm quite proud of this one. It was a lot of fun.

As you can see she doesn't like to sit still for the picture taking. Oh, well, I'll take what I can get.

Then a couple of days ago we went and got flu shots. All except Paisley. But they did free flu shots over at the fair grounds and you didn't even have to get out of the car. They even climbed in the back of my Explorer to give Andrew and Emma theirs. Emma didn't make a sound, she just jerked her arm when they put the needle in. Andrew on the other hand cried. And when they got done giving Emma hers (he went first), I looked back at him and he had big tears streaming down his cheeks and he was whimpering. It was so sad! But mean old mom had to laugh at him. It was rather pathetic. Afterward he was proudly showing off his band-aid.

And as some may know, Andrew loves to grab our camera and take our camera and take pictures. Here are a few of the ones he took.

I had to bend down to actually get in the shot. But not a bad pic.

He came and told me he as taking pictures of his Big Doggie. And he actually was! (In some of them!)

Here is Emma's new thing to do. The fish face.

And as always my little funny man. Not sure what he was doing, but he was having fun doing it.This was right before he stuck the fork under his hat. I know, I don't understand either!

I've been booed

But in a good way and I'm a few days behind! Jennie over at Jenerbug Boo-ed me. I hadn't gotten a chance to check any blogs lately and it's been crazy, but I think it's been that way for lots of people. Wah wah! Anyhow, Thanks Jennie! I don't have a cute picture like she does (I can't figure out how to get them on my blog), but I'm sure everyone will live. Go and check her blog out! She's a crafty person! (Not like me!!) And since it's past Halloween I guess I have no one to Boo. So I'll have to figure some cute way to recognize people for Thanksgiving. Give me time then I'll do it!!! I can be creative right??

Back!

Okay so I'm back, but still no battery for the camera so I just have a boring post with no pictures of the cuties. We had a fun time surprising my SIL in Tennessee. We didn't get to see her first reaction, but we actually pulled off a surprise. She had no idea. We were trying to be sneaky and drive up to her house the back way and in doing so actually passed her in her car. She was taking her daughter for her first driving experience. Had we been a few minutes later we would have been able to sneak up. But all in all a really good visit. They bought Andrew a Ford F-150. Not the big adult size one, but the power wheels. Don't ask me why, but she's wanted to do that since he was born. I will say that Andrew did get a kick out of it. He was so cute with his sunglasses on and one hand on the wheel and the other on the shifter. He would get stuck and put in reverse for a while and then go forward. all while looking up with the biggest grin a little boy could have. Emma just had fun running up and down their stairs and feeding their dogs food. She was so cute running up to them and just handing over her food. And of course they didn't mind one bit. And I really enjoyed myself because I got to go to my favorite grocery store. I know that sounds silly, but it's an amazing store. It's called the Fresh Market. And it's my dream store. Of course everything is more expensive than Wal-Mart or Kroger, but it has a cheese station. And the deli is a high end deli. And they play soft jazz music. I love it!!!!! I was introduced to this store when I went out there in July of last year. James went in with me this time and as we were walking out he said that he felt underdressed to be in there. And he was wearing jeans and a t-shirt. I have to admit that I would walk in there without showering and making sure that my teeth were brushed. (Not like I will at Wal-Mart sometimes. Shhhh don't tell! Some people think I have it all together!) Well, I will hopefully get a battery soon so I can start taking pictures soon and I'm sure I'll have more stuff to blog about. Oh, one last thing...Andrew always amazes me at what he says. Josie, our neice, was supposed to be in her room cleaning it up and was dilly dallying and had been gotten on to a couple of times by her parents (teenagers). So Andrew walks in and looks at her and says, "Your killing me Josie, your killing me!" It was all I could do to not lay down on the floor and roll around laughing. I love my son! This was just one of the many things that he said that was too funny. I love how his little mind works. I always hate it when he says something or does something that should get him in trouble and I have to hold back a smile. It so hard being a parent sometimes!! Stay tuned for more Andrew-isms! And soon to come Emma-isms!

I'm Here

So I really am here, just on location! Ha that made me laugh! Anyhow, I'm visiting my SIL in Tennessee. So more than likely I won't be blogging a whole lot this week. I'm doing good to check my e-mail. So if you don't hear from me until next week or so, now you know why!! Happy day to everyone!

Going crazy

Yes I am going crazy. I haven't had a camera to take pictures for several days now. I need my fix of picture taking. I know I'm not the best at it, but every now and then there's a keeper. Maybe I'm biased too because I think that most pictures of my kids are adorable. Any way the reason that I can't take pictures is stupid. I don't have a battery. I know, you're probably thinking what the heck, all you have to do is go to Wal-Mart and pick one up. It may seem simple, but for some reason I didn't think about it when I was there the other day. Maybe it was just the high of being away from ALL three kids. And the fact that I ran into a friend and we walked around getting stuff that we didn't need. And some we did. Anyhow, I'm sure that I will be getting a battery soon and will be able to post some pics. For the time being here are some that were taken with my FIL's camera when he came to visit.

So this wonderful blog that I found (The Secret is in the Sauce) is having a SITS-a-thon tomorrow. They are doing a drawing every hour and giving away prizes! Who doesn't love prizes?! Anyhow, this is a wonderful blog that I found through another blog I follow and I have found so many wonderful women through it. Everyday they feature a new blog. And it's all about giving people recognition and going to their blog and leaving comment love. Who doesn't love seeing a comment on their blog? Well, it's been fun so go and check it out. Just click on the little Secret is in the Sauce button on the right side and enjoy! Click here, here, here, here, and here to see some of the fun blogs I've found through this. And maybe leave some comment love for them! Ive really enjoyed "meeting" new people and seeing that I'm not the only crazy mom! It's been an amazing ride so far, even though I haven't been on SITS for long. I look forward to "meeting" more!!

It's that time!

My first daughter's second birthday! I can't believe that Emma is 2! It's wild. The kids just seem to grow up way too fast. Well, to start everything off, 2 years ago (the night before around ten at night) I was being walked around Wal-Mart (by my SIL) to see if we could get labor started. (Even though I was going to be going in in the morning to be induced.) Then about midnight or so I called to the labor and delivery to tell them I thought I was leaking fluid and to find out if I should come in now or just wait until the morning to come in for the induction. They told me I could do whatever I thought, but that they had to tell me that I should come in, so I did. And there was no leakage. But I was having contractions. So they said that I hadn't changed enough to keep me, but I could wait a little longer and see if I changed or just go home. James and I opted to go home and get a little sleep. And I do mean a little because we left the hospital at 1:30 and had to be up at 5:30 to call and see if I could be induced. But the fun thing was that by the time the nurse came in with all the paperwork I was doubling over from the contractions. So we went home and came back in at 6:00. And low and behold I had dilated from 2cm to 5cm. So she was going to come whether I was induced or not. After some fairly hard contraction and an epidural it was time to push. Let me tell you it's a whole lot easier the second time around. I started pushing at around 12:17 and she was born at 12:23. There was a little trouble when her head came out and they realized her cord was wrapped around her neck. So they cut the cord before she was all the way out and the Dr. took her over to get her breathing better. I remember everyone saying she was a big girl, but didn't think she looked that big. Then they called out 9 13. And I was thinking to myself, "it's not after 9, it's almost 12:30." Then the realization came to me that they were meaning 9 lbs 13 oz!!! Yes she was big!! And that's the story of how Emma got here. So here are some of the pics through the years.

This is the first time that i got to see her. Right before they took her to the nursery for like an hour or more and then I was finally able to hold her. Just look at those chuncky cheeks!!

Andrew getting to meet Emma for the first time.

Getting ready to go home. She so cute and little!!

The first birthday. She had some cake, can you tell? A couple of months earlier at Andrew's birthday she had grabbed someones cupcake out of their hand and shoved as much of it in her mouth as she could. She knew it would get taken away quickly I guess.

This is Emma today! She's seems to be sooo excited to be 2! Or not, but either way she's my beauty. I tried all day to get a picture of her smiling, but was unable. So this will have to do.

This is what her hair looked like from the top. She was the princess today!

Funny things

The other day I was sitting in the bathroom with Andrew. (Yes he still wants me to go with him occasionally.) And I was thinking to my self how it's so funny how kids minds work. I had been sitting at the computer and Andrew comes up to me and says, "Come on mom, I have to go poopy!" So I get up and go to turn on the light and he tells me to sit down on the tub while he goes poopy. Almost his exact words. And then he talks about going and then he toots and he goes, "Ohh, I tooted!" And then he totally changes subjects and is talking about something Emma did and that he went out the other day and was swinging. (Which he hasn't done in several days.) And then went right back to poop. It's kinda funny how "everything comes down to poo!" Ha ha! Sorry if you watched scrubs you know what I'm talking about, if not go HERE. But back to subject. It cracks me up when I talk to Andrew. At times I guess I get him because my brain jumps subject quite fast and is very random at times. Just ask any of my close friends or family. After a while you just learn to go with the flow. Ha ha! I love my Andrew!!

Trying something

One of the blogs that I follow had this on her blog so I decided to check it out. What a great thing to do! So I'm going to try it out. I love to hear comments and this is exactly what SITS is all about. Check them out if you like. And I think they have a recipe set up as well which I will be checking on as well. Sure do love me a good recipe!

New hair do

So I tried a new hair style for Emma. It's not as cute as the one on here but it was fun trying it. And just the fact that she sat still long enough was amazing! Thanks Phaedra for sharing this blog with me. I plan on looking at it more often and trying my hand at it! And the fun begins!

The one on the blog had 6 rows so you could really see the weaving in it. I just left Emma's because I didn't think I could get her to sit still for me to do it again.

If decided that I like the messy bun. I just didn't do any pins in it so it isn't as out there as the one on Girly do's.

Nothing...

Really exciting going on. Just had some cute pictures of the kids. And felt like I needed to share them. Oh, I guess I almost forgot to say that I was able to get Paisley to laugh by tickling her thighs. She's been giggling for a while, but it's at random times. Adorable though.

Yes I do feed my children!! I guess she wanted some fiber in her diet! Ha ha!! I know I'm weird!

Here's my little Emma! She is starting to loose her baby fat. And is slimming up. I can't believe she will be 2 in just a matter of weeks.

Here's my little man! For those of you who haven't noticed, his right eye goes off to the side a little. We have seen a Dr. about it and he will eventually have to have surgery. We go for another appointment at the beginning of the year to see where we stand on surgery. The only reason I mention this is because you can see it a little in this picture. I'm a little nervous at the idea of him going into surgery, but I know that it has to be done. Glasses won't fix it. And I don't want him being made fun of.

And last, but not least, here is my sweet baby. And I know you're probably thinking, " what the heck is she doing with her hair?" But I was trying to show off how long her hair is. She is a hairy child just like the other 2. It's already a good 3 or so inches and she's only 4 months old! But it's beautiful!!

Here is some video that I took of Paisley. You can hear her giggle a little, but I had made her giggle enough that she was hiccuping. But it's still cute. And of course Andrew had to be in on it, but he thought that I was taking a picture, hence the cheese thing. Enjoy!

New auntie!

Okay so I'm not officially a new aunt, but my SIL Cathy just found out what she is having. I think that I've probably been just as much on edge about finding out as she has. I feel like I did on the days that I had ultrasounds to find out what all of mine were. It's so exciting and exhilarating! So this is what the little one is going to be...

Girl
Awesome MySpace Comments / Myspace Layouts

I'm super excited. Now granted I am already an aunt, but the difference is I'll be around for this one's birth. All the other nieces and nephews that I have are all older. I think the youngest one is in Jr. High or something. So I get to watch this one grow up and tell them that "I remember when you were this big..." It's almost as awesome as having one of my own!! (Which won't be for a while!)

Cute little girl

So on Monday we were told that we were "allowed" to give Paisley her first taste of "real" food. The first trial is squash, which she will be having for the next week. She has gotten a hang of it rather fast too. This first night she didn't even eat half of the jar. By yesterday she was downing a whole jar with hardly any spillage. My children have all taken to eating rather well. I wonder what that says about James and I!! Here are a few of the pictures that James took of her first time.

Looking at it and deciding if she wants it.

Her face covered in squash.

Isn't it funny how you don't realize that you are trying to "help" them eat. I used to be good at not making faces, but I guess I'm out of practice!

And here are a few of the pictures I took today. Last weekend there was a consignment sale and I was able to pic up a few things. This is one of the outfits I got for Paisley. And I couldn't resist putting her hair in pig tails. They're so cute and puffy! And they bounce! ADORABLE!!

People may say that I'm mean for doing that to her, but how can you not?!

Long time coming...

So I was out of town for a while and then when I got home I got sick. That's my excuse for not blogging in a while. Plus, silly me didn't bring the camera to take pics while I was in New Mexico. I had a fun time visiting with my mom and got to do some cool stuff.

The trip out there was pretty uneventful. We went to Oklahoma City and stayed the night with my Aunt Vicki and Uncle Milt. (Thanks so much!!) And then we made the rest of the trip the next day. The kids did pretty good and I was especially proud of Andrew. No accidents!! The night that we got there we took the kids to the county fair. It was a blast and I got to see several people that I haven't seen in years. My mom had entered the blessing gown that she made for Paisley (see previous post) and got best of show. Go Mom!! Then we pretty much sat around and visited. We went and saw my Mamaw and my Nanny. And I was able to see some of my good friends from high school. (Hey Lacy, Bert and Chels!)

One of the highlights of the trip was that I sewed my first thing ever!! It was just a simple apron, but I did it all by myself (with my mom's guidance). I'm so proud of it and am planning on making another one for a back up.

Another hightlight was being able to french braid Emma's hair. That's right, I said french braid. Now it doesn't matter that she had just had a bath and that she was drugged because she was sick. I was able to have a 2 year old sit still enough for me to do it. The first time I did it I was able to do 2 braids kinda like pig tails. And the only reason I was able to get that done is she passed out on the floor. (From being tired!) I had to move her head around and kinda straddle her with out sitting on her, but I did it! Oh the things we mom's do! I'll have to post pics of that later because we took some with my mom's camera.

While I was away, James had a fun day too. He came home from work one of the days I was gone and walked into the carport to find this starring at him.

Yes that is a bat. We don't know where it came from, but from what I heard from James, it didn't like it when he shot it with a rubberband. Apparently it started falling and then opened it's wings and flew straight for him. James said he didn't scream like a girl, but he did run like crazy. Now I don't want people to think that he was super mean to the thing. He just got it with a rubberband. It might have had a little welp on it, but serves James right!

It was nice to visit, but it's always nice to come home. Especially when a WONDERFUL husband has cleaned up the living room, both bathrooms, kitchen and dining room. And then we came home and trashed it. Well, not really, but it's not as clean as it was. And I could have kept up with it, but when I got home I got sick. I usually don't get sick, but when I do I do it right. I wasn't going to go to the doctor, but decided other wise and found out that I had bronchitis, sinusitus, and a double ear infection. It's amazing how much antibiotics can help. A couple of hours after taking the first dose I wasn't achey and was feeling a ton better. I still have a cough, but that will go away with time (it hasn't even been a week since being on pills).

So that's how everything went, promise I'll get some more pics soon. Happy blogging!

Quiet?

What's this? My house is quiet? I don't understand. It doesn't make sense to me. 2 of my 3 children are sleeping and up until a few minutes ago a thought that all of them were asleep. But of course little Emma is in her room talking to herself and laughing. Maybe she is playing with an imaginary friend. And I would have figured that she would have fallen asleep first and Andrew would still be awake. I guess that shows you what I know. Silly kids trying to prove me wrong. Anyhow, its been a while since I blogged and I have some new pictures to post. So here are the cuties!

James might kill me for putting these pictures on here, but I love my goofy husband!

This isn't what he looks like all the time, just some of the time!
