Don't really mix well. At least not in a car on a hot day. Today I ventured out with all 3 kids and we went to Wal-Mart. I had one in the car seat, another on a leash (I know that sounds awful but it's really a back pack with "tail") and the other free roaming. By the end of our shopping I was ready to get out of there and to appease my 2 oldest I did the 'bad mom' thing and bought them both a bag of m&m's. I got in the car and gave them their bags. Well, let's just say that it's only 5 miles to my house and we didn't make any stops.
I never realized how messy a child could get in such a short amount of time! Notice that it's not just on her face, but on her shirt, arms, and legs! I took a washcloth out and cleaned her while she was strapped down and couldn't run away.
The difference between a 20 month old and an almost 3 year old. Not quite so messy!

You are brave with the candy and with going to the store alone with 3 kids. Andrew looked like he did well. Kyle would look more like Emma. They sure are cute.
